Gary Marsh is a leader in the movement to integrate outdoor living space with the home, to open up the home to the natural environment and bring the outdoors in. He founded the design/build firm All Decked Out in 1978 to create custom outdoor living spaces for families in Northern California.
In 28 years, All Decked Out built nearly 300 Gary Marsh designs primarily in California. His designs have been implemented throughtout the United States as well as in British Columbia.
Gary developed his signature style of dramatic curving lines and organic shapes while managing All Decked Out, where he experimented with visually soaring designs that hug a hillside or step down in gentle terraces. He has mastered the design and structural challenges of projects on steep California hillsides.
In 2000 Gary transitioned to design exclusively. With the success of his designs proven, Gary concentrates on working closely with his clients to bring forth and realize their dreams.
All Decked Out® is a registered trademark of Gary Marsh.

The design process begins with a consultation. Gary first absorbs a client's dreams for their home. He shares his portfolio with before-and-after photos of projects so the client can see how he approaches design. Code requirements, permit processes and material choices will also be discussed.
With long experience as a designer and builder, Gary moves directly from the discovery phase to the conceptual plan. Working closely with the homeowners and with full respect for their vision, he will create a custom design. The goal always is to exceed his client's expectations.
The remaining stages of bringing the vision to fruition are then outlined. These may include development of structural drawings, consulting with an engineer if necessary. Gary will then create a set of blueprints for submittal to the Planning and Building departments.
Gary is available for construction administration in order to move a project through the remaining stages. He may help select a contractor, and act as a liaison between the homeowner, the contractor and the project, taking some of the load off the owner's shoulders. Construction administration also ensures that each detail is executed as Gary designed it.
Please call Gary at (415) 897-7623 to find out about his personal, interactive approach for integrating a home's interior and exterior spaces.
